The Archive of the Eprhussi family, as explored by the author in The Hare with Amber Eyes, has been donated to the Jewish Museum in Vienna. In his own words, "On 31st January, we formally handed over our family archive to the Jewish Museum in Vienna.

The Ephrussi Archive contains hundreds of photographs, notebooks, diaries and letters relating to the family’s life in Vienna, Paris, Odessa and Tokyo. It also includes manuscripts of Elisabeth de Waal’s novels and a Secessionist album of watercolours of characters in Fin-de-Siecle Vienna. In the autumn, the netsuke collection will be joining the museum on long-term loan also. We are so grateful for the warmth of the reception given to my father, Victor, by the Director and curators of the Museum."
