Edmund de Waal made his Royal Ballet debut in the 2017/18 Season designing Wayne McGregor’s new ballet, Yugen, at the Royal Opera House. Set to The Chichester Psalms, this new production forms part of a programme celebrating the centenary of Leonard Bernstein's birth. For these 'heart breaking songs of exile', the artist has created 'structures for the dancer, places of refuge and pause', and costumes in a spectrum of reds with the fashion designer, Shirin Guild.
